Boys Soccer: B-G pulls off upset vs Unatego/Franklin
FRANKLIN – After finishing second in the MAC, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats boys soccer team had a tough first sectionals match-up against Tri-Valley’s champion Unatego/Franklin. B-G capped off a great intense game with a stunning 4-3 overtime win.
It was an all Porters game with Ben Porter finishing with a hat trick, Brock Porter scoring one goal, and Easton Porter picking up three assists in the victory. Brock Porter leads the team with 13 goals and eight assists on the season.
B-G advances to the next round of the Section IV, Class C tournament, where they look to knock off another high seed with number three Trumansburg on Friday. Trumansburg defeated Moravia 12-3. Friday’s game begins at 3:30 p.m. in Trumansburg. No fee for admission.
