OXFORD - The Fort Hill American Legion Post #376 held a Halloween Costume Party on October 27 with spooky decorations, live music, a contest with prizes, and offered creative cocktails. The private club was open to the public for the night.
Independent recording artist The Ben Rounds Band played a blend of country, rockabilly, and blues while guests mingled and had fun seeing the costumes. Bedecked in a white lab coat and goggles, “Mad Scientist,” Trudy was behind the bar concocting “Witches Brew” cocktails and a costume contest was held with three winning categories. The contest winners were: Christine Long and Matt Dowling for “Most Original”, as a cool 60’s couple; Andrea Jones “Funniest”, as a demanding “Karen” complainer; and Rhonda Conant “Scariest”, as a Day of the Dead-witch. Congratulations to all the winners! For more of what’s happening at the Legion visit OxfordLegion.com or stop in at 17 S Washington Ave and find out about Legion membership. 607-843-8166
