NEW BERLIN - After falling to Sherburne-Earlville the night before, the Unadilla Valley Storm boys' basketball team faced Charlotte Valley for the second time this season, this time in the UV Holiday tournament consolation game. Charlotte Valley was too quick for the Storm as they captured the dominant 58-34 victory.
The Wildcats caught UV off guard in the first quarter alone, shutting out the Storm offense completely with zero points on the board and quickly moved down the court. Charlotte Valley was also big on rebounding the ball multiple times under the basket. UV tried to catch up, but were outrun throughout the remainder of the contest.
UV's Tucker Cattanach played tremendous defense and led the offense with eight points as Denzel Peter finished with six points in the loss. Keegan Platt earned all-tournament honors for his efforts in both games.
UV heads to Harpursville on Thursday at 6 p.m.

CV 16 11 22 9—58
