Norwich High School announces Hall of Distinction for alumni
NORWICH - Boasting pride in our district is one of Norwich City School District’s core values and we aim to do just that with the formation of the Norwich High School Hall of Distinction.
The purpose of the Hall is to recognize and honor Norwich High School graduates who have achieved distinction with exemplary contribution in the areas of arts, business, community contribution, education, government and/or science.
By committee, the selection and recognition of the inaugural induction class is slated to coincide with the 2024 Alumni weekend. The NHS Hall of Distinction will elevate efforts of recognition of Norwich alumnae operating in tandem to Norwich High School Sports Hall of Fame, which was established in 2011.
“We have an obligation to recognize and honor those that have paved the way for so many of us that are able to call Norwich, home. I am excited to be part of this revitalization effort that will help tell the story of our alumni,” said Scott Ryan, Norwich City School District Superintendent.
Applications for nominating potential honorees will be available on the NCSD website in early January at www.norwichcsd.org.
