Bowling: Greene/Oxford splits match with Hancock
HANCOCK – The Greene/Oxford bowling team traveled to Hancock for a MAC league match-up, where they split the match. The Greene/ Oxford girls swept Hancock while the boys picked up one point in the loss.
Brianna Fowlston and Lily Baxter paved the way for the Greene/Oxford girls in the 2353-1830 victory. Fowlston led all bowlers with a 552 series, including the highest game of the night with a 203. Baxter finished behind her with a 497 series with a 201 in her second game. The rest of the team bowled consistently with the lowest series of a 410 and Fowlston’s 552.
The Greene/Oxford boys were led by Aidan Roth and Aiden Carter. Roth bowled a 563 series with a 206 in his second game while Carter rolled the team’s highest 226 in his first game to finish with a 531 series. Hancock’s leading bowler excelled with a 653 series.
Greene/Oxford heads to take on a tough Bainbridge-Guilford opponent on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. from Bainbridge’s own Galaxy Bowl.
