Girls’ Basketball: B-G advances with a win over Southern Cayuga
AURORA – On Tuesday, the Bainbridge-Guilford girls’ basketball team traveled to take on Southern Cayuga in the opening round of the Section IV, Class C tournament. B-G controlled the boards steadily to pick up the 48-33 victory to advance to the next round of sectionals.
B-G went off in the first quarter with 18 points and held Southern Cayuga to just four points, settling with a 14-point lead. However, before the break, the Cougars were able to flip the outcome as they held the Bobcats to single-digit scoring and went on a big run. B-G took a 26-17 lead at halftime.
