CONKLIN – After a great start of the season on Tuesday night against Binghamton, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls’ flag football team headed to Sus Valley, where they picked up the 19-13 victory. Norwich is already off to a strong start with two wins to kick off the season.
With the game tied at 13 all, Norwich found strength in the final 40 seconds of the game as Julia Llewellyn finds Julie Turner, who takes it in for the touchdown. Turner had a big play the night before with picking up an interception on defense and scored a 70 yard pick-six.
Norwich (2-0) has some time to prepare for their next game, which will be April 13 at 6 p.m. at Owego Apalachin.
