Norwich announcing city flag design on Founders Day

NORWICH — After much anticipation, the City of Norwich will be revealing the winning city flag design on Founders Day, Wednesday, April 17.


After receiving approximately 88 submissions for city flag designs, the City of Norwich Flag Initiative Committee narrowed it down to a final eight designs. Community members were invited to vote on their two favorite designs, and the flag that received the most votes will become the first ever City of Norwich flag.


Deputy City Clerk and City Historian Agnes Eaton said they received approximately 688 electronic votes and 26 ballot votes at City Hall.
