The 2024 Greene Little League Opening Day Parade
GREENE – The 2024 Greene Little League season is underway. The teams held a parade through the center of downtown Greene and up the hill to the Greene Lions Club Park. The Greene varsity baseball team led the parade while boys’ and girls’ little league teams followed. Following the parade, there were opening ceremonies held near the pavilion, where the little league program had the varsity coaches give them a pep talk and also honored its lone senior, Ryan Milk. The Greene Little League program also announced that they raised $2,500 during its fundraiser and spread a positive message for the kids to remember that this is about playing, learning and having fun and about showing pride and respect for everyone. Following the ceremonies, all teams played and the Greene Varsity baseball team held its first ever home run derby. (Photos by Morgan Golliver).
