B-G Softball honors seniors vs Deposit-Hancock

BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team faced off against a tough Deposit-Hancock team on Thursday afternoon in a game where they also honored its senior class. Congratulations to Johnna Henderson and Gabby Cuozzo. After an impressive 11-0 start to the season, the Bobcats suffered their first loss of the season 6-1 against the 13-1 Eagles.

B-G was held hitless until their final at-bats in the seventh inning. Breanna Casey broke up the no-hitter with a single to lead-off the inning and Alessandra Cafasso reached base on an error, setting up good position for Gabby Cuozzo. Cuozzo singled to right field to drive in the team’s only run of the game and advanced to second on the throw.

Cuozzo went the distance for B-G, pitching a complete game, allowing six runs, five earned, on 12 hits, three walks, and struck out two batters.

B-G (11-1) heads to All-star village in Oneonta to play in the SFCU Tournament.
