CHENANGO COUNTY — Not that anyone needs an excuse to shop, but when it's all about celebrating Mother's Day, why not?

The 2nd annual Sip and Shop Mother's Day shopping celebration will be Saturday, May 11, and includes ten shops from Sherburne to Greene. Check store times as each store is different.

The shops include The Crescent Moon and Heartwood Gift Barn in Sherburne, Palm and Sand and Seasons General Store in Norwich, Gallery Three-Two-One, Ye Olde Shanty, Bull Thistle Bridle, and Kutik’s Everything Bees, in Oxford, Hymn and Hawe Country Store and Shops at Switchblade, in Greene.

“Basically, participants will get an initialed punch card from one of the participating businesses and must go to at least 4 stores to officially enter the contest to win an awesome raffle basket; no purchase necessary,” said Sarah Smith, owner of Gallery Three-Two-One. “The cards can be dropped off at participants last stop.”
