S-E baseball honors seniors vs Canastota

SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville baseball team honored its 2024 seniors in their final home game of the season on Thursday against Canastota. Congratulations to Devin Donovan, Tyler White, and Dominic Fowlston and thank you for your dedication to the S-E baseball program. S-E fought back after being down 8-0, but fell 24-7.

S-E batted around in the bottom of the third inning to plate six out of seven runs, which cut Canastota's early lead to 8-6. The inning was sparked by hits from Fowlston, Donovan, and Wes Fisher, along with a few defensive errors and bases-loaded walks.

The S-E defense had a good inning in the top of the fourth to keep the game at 8-6. On a line out to second base, Tomek Jusianiec made a double play to catch the runner on second off the base to end the inning. However, Canastota extended their lead in the fifth and sixth inning, where they batted around twice in their final at-bats. S-E scored one final run in the bottom of the sixth inning after Fowlston reached on an error and scored on Devin Donovan’s two-out RBI single.
