OV-C Baseball earns big win over LaFargeville
LAFARGEVILLE – The Otselic Valley-Cincinnatus Vikings baseball team wrapped up regular season play at LaFargeville on Friday afternoon. The Vikings picked up their fifth win of the season with a big 17-3 victory and will head to the Section III, Class C tournament play-in game this evening as the 22nd seed. OV-C finished the 2024 regular season with a 5-8 record.
The Vikings had a great offensive day with racking up four runs in the first and fourth innings, scored five runs in the third, and capped off with two in the final at-bats in the fifth inning. LaFargeville got on the board in the second with one run and scored two in the fifth.
Cole Warren led the Vikings with two hits and five RBIs in the win as Lukas Schieferstein and Oliver Marshall both drove in two runs on the day. Hunter Rozewski went 4-for-5 and drove in a run while Troy Miller was perfect at the plate, 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Caleb Loomis had two hits as Deven Maxson contributed with one hit in the win.
