Preferred Mutual offers UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, $250k pledge

NORWICH – On April 23, the Preferred Mutual Insurance Company Foundation presented its fifth donation of $50,000 to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, completing its $250,000 pledge from the 2019 Chenango Medical Neighborhood Capital Campaign.
“We are immensely proud to fulfill our pledge of $250,000 to our UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, reinforcing our commitment to the health and well-being of our community,” said Preferred Mutual President/CEO R. Benedikt Sander. “At Preferred Mutual, we know the importance of supporting vital community resources and are proud to help ensure they thrive for generations to come.”
The Chenango Medical Neighborhood Capital Campaign has helped support the construction of a new Emergency Room and Walk-In Center, as well as strategic investments in Diagnostic Imaging and infrastructure to support the growth of future services. In 2019, the Preferred Mutual Insurance Company Foundation pledged $250,000 to the campaign to be paid in annual installments of $50,000.
“We are incredibly grateful to Preferred Mutual for their generous support of our hospital and community. Their commitment of $250,000 so early in our capital campaign made all the difference as we started on this path to transform health care in greater Chenango County,” said Melissa Stagnaro, Executive Director of the Chenango Memorial Hospital Foundation.
