Greene’s Flanagan plays in NYSPHSAA Golf Championship

ELMIRA – The 2024 New York State Public High School Athletic Association golf championship wrapped up on Monday and featured Greene’s Parker Flanagan. Flanagan had a great junior year for the Trojans golf team in the fall, where he made his way to the Section IV individual medalist tournament and finished third to advance to States.

Flanagan finished 77th overall among 99 golfers at Mark Twain Golf Course in Elmira. He shot a 84 in the first round on Sunday before capping off with a 82 in the final round on Monday to finish with a 166. Section IV finished ninth among 11 sections with shooting 76-over-par. Section I took first as Section VIII finished second with its overall winner, Joseph Dolezal from Long Island’s The Wheatley School winning the State title in a playoff hole.
