GREENE – The Greene Trojans girls’ swim team hosted Dryden on Friday evening, dropping 87-28. There were many notable improvements for the Trojans with the whole team setting new season bests. They saw Keeli Roe swim season bests in both the 200 and 500 freestyle while Savannah Nowalk swam a season best in the 50 freestyle. Corrine Dicenzo swam a season best in the 50 free as well with Louise Mendolia achieving a season best in the 100 freestyle event.

Nowalk and Mendolia took charge in the 100 yard freestyle for the Trojans. Nowalk finished second with a time of 1:10.20, behind Dryden’s 1:00.73. Mendolia achieved her season best time of 1:52.01 for fifth place. Nowalk also earned first place in the 50 yard freestyle event with a best time of 31.43 seconds with Dicenzo in fourth and Mendolia in fifth place. Dicenzo swam the 100 yard backstroke in 2:03.25 for third place.
