Girls Soccer: Greene celebrates seniors with shutout victory vs A/H

GREENE – The Greene Trojans girls’ soccer team welcomed Afton/Harpursville for a MAC league match-up on Thursday evening, where they came away with a 7-0 shutout victory. Thursday was also senior night for the Trojans, where they honored their five seniors. Congratulations to Cali Knapp, Audra Doll, Liesl Ludolph, Zabelle Straniero, and Caden Gregware. Prior to the game, Greene also honored Afton/Harpursville’s seniors; Sam Miller, Grace Sabol, and Madison Wolbert.
Greene took a 4-0 lead at halftime with two early goals scored by Lyndsay Specht as Greene fired up good possession within the first minute of play. Specht’s second goal was assisted by Cali Knapp. Knapp scored within the next three minutes of Specht. Audra Doll also scored halfway through the first half. Knapp also shared time in goal with Khloe Waltz.
Afton/Harpursville got a few shots on goal from Gabby Pawela with Bella Brotzman strong on the defensive front and Appalonia and Misty Bushaw showing good touches.
