NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado golf team capped off an undefeated STAC season with a low 196- 217 victory against Oneonta to win the STAC East division. This match comes after Norwich won their second consecutive Section IV, Class B title. Norwich finishes 11-1 overall with one loss to non-league Maine-Endwell, but finished with a perfect 11-0 STAC record.

Norwich also honored its two seniors prior to the match against Oneonta. Congratulations to Jacob Dowdall and Julien Smith. Smith was the top medalist in Thursday’ s match with shooting an even 35 on the par-35 old nine course. Matthew Brunick followed with a 36 as Brevin Bennett shot a 38.

Michael Brunick finished with a 43 as Dowdall had a 44 and Gavin Burrell with a 46. Charlie Smith (44), Brayden Adoff (47), Ethan Willis (50), and Jacob Lobdell (51) all received extra playing time.
