Boys Soccer: Greene defeats BG in overtime

GREENE – Following the girls’ game, the Greene Trojans boys’ soccer team hosted Bainbridge-Guilford to close out the MAC regular season. Greene, who was hanging on to the MAC lead by one game, will be the official number one seed going into the playoffs after a 5-4 overtime win over the Bobcats.

Greene had a 4-3 lead with four goals by Kloden Rapp with time winding down. However, Ben Porter, who scored his first goal six minutes prior, scored with four seconds left to tie the game at four and bring on extras. Greene’s Judd Dutcher, Jacob Acevedo, and Seth Symons provided assists on Rapp’s goals.

B-G’s Corbin Germond also scored in the second half while Nolan Foster had one assist.
