There's lots to do at the Oxford Memorial Library in October

OXFORD - Autumn is in full swing and there is a lot happening at the Oxford Memorial Library.


In September we held a Bookmark Design Contest to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up month. The winners of this contest are: Kids category - Abel Rathmell; Youth - Breanna Rogers; Adults -Tamara Bixler; and the People’s Choice winner is Isabel Bixler. Congratulations to our creative bookmark designers, everyone did a great job. Bookmarks by the winners have been copied and laminated for our patrons.

As part of The Great Give Back program that is held in October and observed on October 19, we are collecting non-perishable food items for the Oxford Food Pantry now through October 19. Contact the library for suggested items needed at the Food Pantry.


The Go-Won-Go chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution has partnered with the Oxford Memorial Library and The Guernsey Memorial Library in Norwich to collect personal hygiene items for our veterans at the Veterans’ Home in Oxford. This will run through mid-November. There will be donation boxes set up in the participating libraries for these items.
