MCGRAW – The Otselic Valley Vikings boys soccer team earned the 11th seed in the Section III, Class D tournament, where they were matched up with league rivals McGraw. These two teams met for a third time on Wednesday for sectionals, where OV came away with a 2-1 win. OV had lost the last two previous matchups against the Eagles, so this win came when it mattered most.

McGraw took a 1-0 lead at halftime before OV scored the tying and game-winning goal in the second half. Coach Preston noted that his boys turned up the intensity in the final 40 minutes and it showed through to give them opportunities to score. Halfway through the second half, Austin Brown won the ball on a goal kick and sent the ball to Owen Davis who outran all defenders to score.
