ENDWELL — The Norwich Purple Tornado girls swim team competed in the Section IV championships over the weekend. Norwich swam in the Class B championships held at Maine-Endwell High School, where they finished sixth.

Norwich is proud to announce that senior Nina Kman is an eight-time sectional champion! Kman won both the 200 yard freestyle and the 500 yard freestyle events and is heading to states. Kman achieved a new personal best time of 1:58.72 in the 200 yard freestyle.

Mikayla Sastri earned two third place finishes in both the 200 and 500 events, where she achieved a new best time of 2:06.45 in the 200 yard freestyle. Alexandra Shtrauch finished ninth in the 200 freestyle with her own best time of 2:15.71 and came in eighth in the 500 yard freestyle with a new best time of 6:09.15.
