“CCE of Chenango offers many free or low-cost workshops from Agriculture Education, Forestry and Natural Resource support, Horticulture, Nutrition through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-ED), Expanded Food and Nutrition Education (EFNEP), Grow Cook Serve Program and 4-H adventures,” said Clark.

4-H Supervisor Kristi Gorrell said 4-H is America's largest youth development organization and empowers young people with skills to lead a lifetime.

“Whether that skill is raising and showing animals, perfecting their public speaking, or immersing themselves in nature and outdoor activities, 4-H encourages kids to make the best better,” said Gorrell. “Chenango County is home to hundreds of youth doing just that.”

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed) Supervisor Whitney Kmetz said, “SNAP-Ed is a free nutrition education program for those who qualify or receive SNAP benefits. SNAP-Ed teaches people how to shop for and cook healthy meals at home on a budget.”
