NORWICH — Nina's Pizzeria and the Colonia Theater will be hosting their annual dinner and a movie fundraiser to benefit the Chenango County Toys for Tots on Wednesday, December 4.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., with a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs, salad, dinner bread, desserts, and drinks beginning at 5 p.m. in the upstairs ballroom of the Colonia Theater, located at 35 South Broad Street in Norwich. At 6 p.m., the theater will be playing the 1998 film "Jack Frost."
Admission is $7 and a donation of an unwrapped toy per person. Children 5 years old and younger get in free.
"All the money will go to Toys for Tots. We will go shopping for toys with what we’ve taken at the door," said Nina's Employee Lon Yerton, who helps organize the event each year. "We believe in making sure no kid goes without."
There will also be characters from the movie at the Colonia to meet children who attend, and holiday photo booths set up for family pictures. Attendees can also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a variety of gift baskets donated by local merchants.
