NORWICH ― Pennsylvania-based Christmas rock band Twelve Twenty-Four will be performing at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 13 at the Chenango Arts Council, located at 27 West Main Street in Norwich.

Established in 2002, Twelve Twenty-Four consists of a ten-piece rock band, multi-piece orchestra, and several vocalists. The group delivers a high-energy performance that's suitable for all ages, featuring both original and classic Christmas songs with a rock and roll twist inspired by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

"They have performed here before and everyone really enjoyed them," said Chenango Arts Council Administrative Assistant Mary Beth Miller. "There’s lights and music and all kinds of things. It’s a really high-energy, fun show.

Tickets are on sale now at ChenangoArtsCouncil.org. Ticket prices vary, but do not exceed $15, with discounts available for seniors and Chenango Arts Council members.

The concert is sponsored by NBT Bank, NBT Insurance, the Greater Norwich Foundation, the Community Foundation of South Central New York, and Preferred Mutual.

The Chenango Arts Council will keep the holiday festivities going on Saturday, December 13 with their annual Members' Exhibit and Holiday Party from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries.

Individuals of all Chenango Arts Council membership levels may submit up to three works of art, of any medium, to be included in the exhibit.

"Anyone who is a member of Chenango Arts Council can submit up to three pieces of work in a variety of mediums," said Miller. "It’s open to a lot of different categories: drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media, there’s been graphic design things in the past."

Artwork must be dropped off by Wednesday, December 11, along with a submission form that includes the title of the pieces, the medium used, and prices for each piece if the artist would like to sell them.

Local artists interested in becoming a Chenango Arts Council member can do so online at ChenangoArts.org, by calling the Chenango Arts Council at 607-336-2787, or via mail.

The Members' Exhibit and Holiday Party is free and open to the public. Wine and refreshments will be provided by The Cottage Bakery, and live music will be performed by Steve Blaise, thanks to a grant from the Pearl and Everett Gilmour Foundation.

The Chenango Arts Council hosts a Members' Exhibit each year as a way to recognize the creativity and talent of its members. Miller said the opening reception is usually held on Fridays, but this year they're holding it on a Saturday afternoon to try to make it more accessible for the public.

"It’s a fun holiday get together. We’re making it a little earlier on a Saturday, just to give everyone the chance to come see it and not have to worry about driving in the dark or other commitments, because it’s such a busy time of year," Miller explained. "It'll be a nice afternoon of art."
