4-H Christmas Tea auction raised $1,900 to benefit hurricane relief efforts

NEW BERLIN — Recently, the Chenango County 4-H Ribbon Wranglers held their annual Christmas Tea fundraiser to benefit hurricane relief efforts in Tennessee and North Carolina and raised $1,900.


4-H Ribbon Wrangler leader and owner of New Berlin Brymarfarm Markie Beckert said the kids in the club worked hard for the event by planning, baking and setting up for the auction.


“The kids helped bake goodies to serve and also helped with the set-up before and clean-up after the event,” said Beckert.


She said the youth, community members and local businesses gave donated items, helping to raise a total of $1,900.
