JOHNSON CITY –The Norwich Purple Tornado boys basketball team can't be beat, not in the Mark Woitach tip-off tournament at Johnson City anyways. The Purple Tornado beat Athens in Friday's opening round 70-47 and then defeated Newfield in the championship game 61-50 on Saturday.

Steven Dowdall posted 18 points in the championship game and was named tournament MVP. Graham Burton was named to the all-tournament team and scored 16 points as Kassen Stubb finished with 10 points on Saturday.
