S-E wrestlers win the Cato-Meridian Blue Devil duals

CATO – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves wrestling team improves to 6-0 on the season and are back-to-back Cato-Meridian Blue Devil Duals champions. S-E defeated all five opponents faced, including the defending Section III champions, Jordan-Elbridge/Cato-Meridian/ Port Byron/Union Springs. The Timberwolves also shut out Herkimer 69-0.

S-E had 12 wrestlers go undefeated on the day including Trenton Anderson, Landon Andrade, Alex Campbell, Cody Clarkson, J.J. Fischer, Richie Fuller, Manny Hollins, Aiden Kiehn, Andrew Menard, Nick Miller, Drew Telesky, and Pasley French.

Jackson Moore, Cameron Mason, and Justin Race all lost one match as Josh Evans and Aiden Shreve added a few wins to their record, and Noah Ackermann fought hard in all three matches, but did not tally a win.

S-E will compete at the Windsor Christmas Tournament over the weekend of December 27 and 28.

Results:

Noah Ackermann: 0-3.

Trenton Anderson: 2-0; two pins, including a :42 pin against Auburn’s Gavin Hodson.

Landon Andrade: 5-0; fft and four pins, including a :09 pin against Jordan-Elbridge’s Damion Bonnell.

Alex Campbell: 3-0; three pins, including a :43 pin against Auburn’s Judah Nord.

Cody Clarkson: 4-0; three pins and a fft, includes two quick pins of :40 and :45.
