S-E boys unable to overcome Utica Academy
SHERBURNE –The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys' basketball team hosted non-divisional opponent Utica Academy of Science on Friday, suffering a 73-60 loss. The Timberwolves were limited to just five points in the first quarter and were unable to mount a full comeback or make key defensive stops against a tough opponent.
S-E picked up the pace before halftime, but were down 40-27. Both teams brought an intense second half with the Atoms maintaining a comfortable lead.
Nick Hull continues to excel for the Timberwolves as he scored a team-high 21 points with two three's. Mike Behret added 11 points with three three's as Garret Winton scored nine and Brayden O'Hara had eight points. Tomek Jusianiec, Parker Goedel, and Isaac Porchea each scored three points as Charlie Potrzeba added a bucket for two points.
