Oxford girls defeat Windsor in M-E tournament consolation

ENDWELL – Over Christmas weekend, the Oxford Blackhawks girls basketball team played in the Maine-Endwell girls' holiday tournament. They went 1-1 after falling to M-E in the opening round and defeating Windsor in the consolation game.
Oxford fell to the Spartans 55-29 on Friday evening. The Blackhawks were led by Aubrey Rickard with a team-best 14 points, including 10 points in the third quarter, along with her sister Paige Rickard's three to help out after halftime.
Christine Seiler added four points as Paige and Emmalee Reiss both had three points.
Oxford defeated Windsor 55-41 in the consolation game, where Paige Rickard led the Blackhawks with 15 points as Margaret Rovente finished with nine points. Abby Denz added eight points while Aubrey Rickard, who was named to the all-tournament team, had seven points.
Oxford (6-3) begins the new year at Unatego on January 3 at 7:15 p.m.
