BAINBRIDGE – After falling to Vestal over the weekend, the Bainbridge-Guilford boys basketball team were up for their biggest challenge yet as they hosted the defending Class C champions, Moravia on Monday. Moravia showed their strengths from start to finish as they took this non-league 67-43 win.

The Blue Devils succeeded with long three’s and jumpers as well as getting past B-G defenders, who were attempting to put on the pressure. B-G struggled in the first quarter as Moravia took a 21-6 lead, but the Bobcats were able to find a better stance before halftime.

Michael Lipani and Declyn Marshfield were able to steal the ball, allowing Cyrus Megale to throw in a few three’s to pump up the offense. Moravia led 37-21 at halftime. B-G’s tempo remained in the third quarter, but the Blue Devils did not let up their abilities to rebound under the basket and catch B-G in foul troubles.

Megale laid down five three’s to lead the Bobcats with 15 points as Marshfield had eight points. Tim Kinter added six points as Lipani and Colin Dailey both put up four points each. Jaedan Walling, Levi Fletcher, and Dominick Johnson all added two points in the loss.
