Norwich girls top Windsor

NORWICH – After four straight road games, it felt good to return back home for the Norwich Purple Tornado girls basketball team. Norwich hosted Windsor to resume STAC league play and picked up an impressive 65-36 victory.
The Purple Tornado held the Black Knights to single-digits throughout the first three quarters and even dropped 26 points after the break, following a consistent first half.
Norwich had four leading scorers drop 10 plus in the win, including top scorer Josey Ryan with 17 points with three three’s and four of eight free-throws. Kerragan Reid followed with 15 points, also with three three’s and scored nine points in the first quarter. Emma Urgo chipped in 12 points with six points in both the first and third quarters as Brynley Ryan hit three three’s and finished with 11 points.
Reagan Doliver scored six points off the bench as Emma Koerts and Cally Richardson both added two points.
Norwich (4-5) looks to go even on the season at Oneonta on Friday at 7:45 p.m.
