S-E Bowlers drop to Cooperstown

EARLVILLE – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves bowling team started off the new year with a tough league match against Cooperstown in the battle of unbeaten teams. Cooperstown came out on top with a 4-1 victory and improve to 6-0, which leads the CSC West division. S-E is in second at 5-1.
The final score was 2768-2634 and S-E did take the second game (905-885). The Timberwolves were led by Leland Smith with a 578 series with a 211 in his final game. Colton Camenga rolled a 541 series with his highest of a 196 in the last game.
Nick Jenkins finished with a 525 with a 199 in the final game as Evan Chesebro added a 502 series and Collin Pattee rounded out S-E’s scoring with a 488.
Cooperstown’s scores ranged from a low 155 to a high 591.
S-E (5-1) heads to Canastota’s Hi-Way Bowl this afternoon at 4 p.m.
