Afton boys drop to Unatego-Franklin

AFTON – The Afton Crimson Knights hosted Unatego-Franklin in a tough MAC league matchup on Thursday evening. The Spartans took the 65-42 victory. Afton stayed consistent, but could not hold Unatego-Franklin and were held to just eight fourth quarter points.
Dion Bushaw led Afton with 13 points, where he scored nine points in the third quarter. Ryan Wright followed with 12 points, hitting two three’s in the first quarter. Pierce Bushaw added eight points with six in the final eight minutes as Marcus Chavis had five and Toni Obeada contributed with four points in the loss.
Afton (1-8) is expected to play at non-league opponent Otselic Valley on Monday at 7 p.m.
