NORWICH - For the last several decades, Audrey Robinson has served a key public servant supporting several leaders and programs for Commerce Chenango.
In 1999, Audrey Robinson had just started her job at the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce, which was later rebranded as Commerce Chenango. Robinson recently announced her retirement from the organization and was thanked for her dedication.
During her 25-year tenure, she worked under six different CEOs, adapting to each new leadership style while maintaining the consistency and institutional knowledge that made her invaluable to the organization.
Robinson's also carried an attention to detail and commitment to excellence that helped shape the evolution of Commerce Chenango's programs and initiatives.
Last week, at a party held in her honor, Robinson stated, “Working here has taught me so much, how important it is to show up on time, and how important it is to show up.” She continued, “I gave my best every day, what more can I say?”
Sal Testani, President & CEO of Commerce Chenango stated, “Audrey’s dedication to this organization is unmatched. She cared about this place, sometimes more than herself. What more could you want from an employee?”
Through the constant changes in staff and shifts in focus at Commerce Chenango, Testani states, “She was always a smiling face you could come visitor ask for help. So much has changed here, she was one of the only constants.”
The impact of Robinson's work extends throughout Chenango County. As Communications and Tourism Director, she played a vital role in promoting the region's attractions and helping to boost its economic development. Her deep understanding of the local community, combined with her professional expertise, helped bridge the gap between Commerce Chenango and the people it serves.
Commerce Chenango thanks Audrey Robinson for her service and wishes her well on her retirement.
