ALBANY - The 248th Session of the New York State Assembly officially began at the Capitol on Monday, with Assemblyman Joseph Angelino (R,C-Norwich) pledging to represent the more than 133,000 constituents of District 121, which spans portions of Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Madison, and Otsego counties.
“As I prepare to begin another legislative session, I am reminded of just how humbled and honored I am to represent the people of District 121,” Angelino said in a statement. “Rest assured, I will continue to fight for upstate rural values and work to ensure state government works for all, not just those downstate.”
Angelino emphasized the Assembly Republican Conference’s commitment to opposing government overreach, addressing financial uncertainty, and enhancing public safety.
“The entire Assembly Republican Conference stands ready to push back on government overreach and bad policy pushed forth by the governor and downstate progressives,” Angelino stated. “We remain committed to advancing practical solutions to ease the financial uncertainty that so many New Yorkers face, and to fight to make sure New Yorkers feel safe in their neighborhoods and put law-abiding citizens over criminals.”
Angelino has represented District 121 since 2020 and continues to advocate for rural and upstate communities in New York State.
