SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys basketball team snapped a three-game skid with a 49-41 league victory against Adirondack on Monday night. S-E is one win away from a .500 record, currently at 5-6 with another big league matchup against Herkimer on Wednesday night. S-E is also currently tied with Adirondack in the 15th spot in the Section III, Class B standings while tied for fifth with Clinton in the CSC Division I standings with a 2-4 league record.
In Monday’s matchup against the Wildcats, the Timberwolves proved to be a second half team after a slow start in the first half, which put them down 21-17 at halftime. S-E held Adirondack to seven points after the break and did not let up by staying strong offensively to get the job done.
Nick Hull led the Timberwolves with 20 points, hitting four threes and made four free-throws. Brayden O’Hara added 10 points as Parker Goedel and Garret Winton both chipped in six points. Mike Behret hit a three as Charlie Potrzeba and Isaac Porchea both added two points in the win.
