Oxford girls fall to Sidney

OXFORD – Coming off two big wins at home and riding on a three-game win streak, the Oxford Blackhawks girls basketball team fell to Sidney 59-29.
Sidney controlled a great portion of the contest with posting 21 points in the first quarter and settling in. The Sabers also played good defensively, holding Oxford to single-digit scoring throughout the first three quarters. Both teams were even in the final eight minutes, but Sidney had already built a comfortable lead with a consistent offense.

Olivia Oliver added six points off the bench while Margaret Rovente finished with four points and Emmalee Reiss hit a three. Taegan Manwarren, Christine Seiler, and Aubrey Rickard all had two points in the loss.
