WAVERLY – After defeating Deposit-Hancock the night before, the Unatego-UV-Franklin Spartans wrestling team traveled to Waverly, where they came away with a close 42-30 victory.

Brogan Lefever and Yanni Drapaniotis, remain undefeated, both earned forfeits in their respective weight classes before Gavin Nordberg, Abdul-Jamil Zaggout, Ahmet Zaggout, Wyatt Meade, and Nolan Boyles brought home wins.

Nordberg earned a 2:59 pin over Caden Bradley while Abdul-Jamil Zaggout got the win by 1:00 pin. Ahmet Zaggout came away with the 3:58 pin as Wyatt Meade pinned Riley Pipher in 1:45. Nolan Boyles finished with a 2:19 pin over Chris Moskowitz in the 215 weight class.

Unatego-UV-Franklin (14-5) will compete at the Hoosick Falls Duals on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m.
