UV girls honor seniors in win over Otselic Valley

NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley Storm girls basketball team honored its Class of 2025 seniors prior to the game against Otselic Valley.
The Storm defeated the Vikings 54-14 to snap a five-game skid.
Congratulations to UV seniors Adrienne Hodge, Emmalyn Montgomery and Natalie Crandall.
The two teams met previously with UV traveling to South Otselic on December 16 and returning home with a 42-21 win.
UV thrived on both ends of the court, converting on OV turnovers. OV showed good efforts defensively, but could not control the ball offensively. UV sat the seniors in the fourth quarter, having already built and continued to build a dynamic lead.
UV was led by Shyla Roberts with 17 points with 11 points in the second half. Adrienne Hodge led the seniors with 11 points with a strong first half. Myriah Taylor finished with eight points as Emmalyn Montgomery chipped in six points and Kora Johnson and Allisyn Daniell both scored four points off the bench. Natalie Crandall added two points in the third quarter as Yana Hyrlina scored a basket in the fourth.
Gracie Rooker led the Vikings with four points as Riley Bartlett added three points. Abby White, Lilly Palmer, and Caylene Russell all finished with two points as Mackenzie Reandeau was held to a single free-throw.
UV (5-8) heads to Delhi on Friday at 7:15 p.m. while OV (2-8) heads to Brookfield on Friday at 6 p.m.
