UV/GMU/Norwich bowlers split with Oxford/Greene
GREENE – On Friday, the Oxford/Greene bowling team hosted UV/GMU/Norwich for a local MAC matchup.
The Oxford/Greene boys took two of the three games and won the series to defeat the Storm while the Storm girls earned the sweep.
The Oxford/Greene boys won by a total score of 2738-2610. Aiden Roth led all bowlers with a 606 series with a 224 in his final game. Logan Roth followed with a 545 series with a 210 in his last game.
Logan Yaddow rolled a 539 series as Aiden Carter finished with a 526 series and Harry Grannis with a 522.
The Storm boys picked up the win in the second game and were led by Brayden Prentice with a team-best 563 series, including an all-around high game of a 234 in the first game.
Teagin Eccleston finished behind Prentice with a 552 series with a 205 in his second game. Tyler Bates rolled a 549 series with a 217 in the second game.
Jacob Prentice finished with a 513 series as David Montgomery and Kameron Franklin split time. Montgomery finished with a 285 after two games and Franklin bowled a 140 in his only game.
The Storm girls swept Oxford/Greene with a final score of 2309-2102. Shelby Rose continues to led the team as she finished with an all-around high of a 545 series amongst the two female teams. Rose rolled a 203 in her first game.
Kylie Menard came away with a 468 series as Lee Clipston finished with a 423 series. Amelia Beckwith, Natalie Smith, Sarina Bell, and Layla Stevens all split time with Smith and Beckwith bowling two games. Smith finished with a 297 as Beckwith rolled a 288 series. Bell bowled a 171 as Stevens had a 127.
Oxford/Greene was led by Lily Baxter with a 479 series with two 157 games. Cassidy Johns followed with a 465 series with two 170s.
Danica Fowlston finished with a 411 series while Melana Gregware, Brenda Allgaier, and Danny Badger all shared time on the lanes. Badger led the trio with a 264 series as Gregware had a 251 and Allgaier with a 232 series.
UV/GMU/Norwich hosts Deposit on Friday, January 24, where the Storm will honor their Class of 2025 seniors. Oxford/Greene hosted Sidney on Saturday morning for senior recognition, but no scores have been reported yet. Oxford/Greene’s next match is Tuesday at Hancock.
