WATERTOWN – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves wrestling team traveled to Jefferson Community College on Monday for the Section III, Division II Dual Meet Championship. The Timberwolves are section III, division II dual meet champions! It is S-E’s fourth big dual event victory of the season, but this championship win marks history as S-E has never had a team qualify to enter the tournament, let alone win it as well. Congratulations, everyone.
S-E defeated Adirondack by a score of 38-24, won against Holland Patent 50-17, and earned the 40-27 win over Little Falls to win the championship. S-E now moves on to the State dual meet tournament at the SRC Arena on February 1.
S-E resumes its regular season dual meet schedule on Wednesday at Mount Markham at 6 p.m.
