BGA, NHS, Oxford-Greene, and UV indoor teams at Quinney Invitational

ITHACA - Over the weekend, Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton, Norwich, Oxford-Greene, and Unadilla Valley indoor track teams traveled to Ithaca College to compete in the Quinney Invitational. The Norwich girls and BGA tied for 18th place while UV came in 21st.
The BGA boys came in 10th place with Norwich behind them in 11th while the Oxford-Greene and the UV boys did not place.

BGA:
Girls: The BGA girls competed in four relays as a team, where they finished sixth in the 4x55 shuttle hurdle relay, earned two seventh place finishes in the 4x200 and 4x800, and finished 15th in the 4x400.
Aside from the impressive team performance, Maddie Ingham and Clare Sullivan led the Bears to top 10 finishes in the track events. Ingham took third in the 600 meter run with a new best time of 1:44.17 as Laila Williams finished 26th with a time of 1:57.71 and Madi Beardslee in 37th with her new best 2:10.06.
Sullivan finished eighth in the 1500 meter race walk with a time of 9:14.31 with teammate Tabitha Charette behind her in ninth with a new best time of 9:16.96. Isabel Suda came in 11th with her new best of 9:30.70 as Kathleen Charette finished 17th with a new best 11:34.58.
Suda also competed in the 300 meter dash with Carly Finch and Railey O’Dell. Suda finished 38th as Finch came in 56th with a new best time of 53.66 seconds as O’Dell set a new best of 1:02.05 for 75th. Macey LaFever finished 13th in the 3000 meter run with a new best 13:48.06 as Chandler Benjamin came in 39th in the 1000 meters (4:09.38).
Makayla McCloud and Emily Sprow tied for ninth place in the high jump with both achieving a jump of four feet, five inches. Emily Sprow also earned a top 10 finish in the long jump, where she finished seventh with a jump of 15 feet, eight inches. McCloud finished 12th with a jump of 15 feet, one inch as Brooklinn Hall jumped to a 16th place finish with a new best 14 feet, six inches and Breegan George finished 37th (12-2).
Hall and Elanor Sprow both competed in the triple jump with Sprow in 13th with a new best jump of 29 feet, 11 and a half inches and Hall in 20th with a jump of 28 feet, 10 and a quarter inches.
Marissa Mayo led the BGA girls in the shot put event, where she finished 14th with a throw of 27-22.25 with Tori Suda in 19th with a throw of 25-3.25. Emilie Hopkins came in 33rd (21-5.75) and Morgan Prisco in 36th (21-3.50).
Suda led the girls in the weight throw with a throw of 24 feet, three inches for 15th place. Prisco came in 23rd (19-7) with Hopkins behind her in 24th (17-5). Kadence Racine finished 28th with a throw of 15 feet, one inch.
Boys:
Just like the girls, the BGA boys competed in four team relays, where they finished third in the 4x55 meter shuttle hurdle relay, finished 10th in the 4x800, 11th in the 4x400, and came in 13th in the 4x200.
Connor Davy, Owen Degan, and Thomas Joyce all ran to top 10 finishes in their respective events. Davy finished third in the 55 meter dash with a new best time of 6.65 seconds. Joyce took fifth in the 300 meter dash with a new best time of 38.53 seconds as Jake Barber came in 28th with his new best of 42.27 seconds, Ryan Larsen in 53rd with his best 47.06 seconds, and Keegan Milk with his new best 48.10 seconds for 59th place.
Degan finished fourth in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:51.55 as teammate Rowan Beasinger ran a new best 12:14.89 for 19th place. Brock Porter finished 18th in the 600 meter run as Jackari Garipoli ran to a 50th place finish and Connor Rowe finished 60th in the 1600 meters.
Aiden Quick, Blake Tuttel, Rowe, and Campbell all ran the 1000 meters event, where Quick came in 29th, Tuttel in 47th, Rowe with his new best of 3:36.15 for 54th, and Campbell in 58th with a new best of 3:43.13.
Harpo Hardt led the Bears with a third place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 40 feet, five and a half inches. Nolan Foster finished 17th with a jump of 36 feet, six inches and Daniel Clapper achieved a new best jump of 30-6.50 for 35th place.
Ethan Beardslee finished 13th in the high jump with a jump of five feet, three inches as Joyce, Foster, and Garipoli all jumped in the long jump. Joyce finished 14th with a jump of 18-2.75 as Foster had a jump of 17-3.50 for 28th, and Garipoli in 42nd with a jump of 14 feet, six inches.
Matthew Wombacker earned a ninth place finish in the pole vault (9-0) while Ryan Larsen led the BGA boys in the throwing events. Larsen finished 11th in the shot put with a new best throw of 38-6.75 as Jeremiah Santiago finished 34th (30-9) and Damien Nickerson in 52nd (26-4).
Larsen came in 21st in the weight throw with a new best throw of 33 feet, two inches as Santiago threw for 29 feet, three inches for 28th. Nickerson finished 31st with a throw of 25 feet, eight inches and Beardslee in 34th with a throw of 24-2.50.
NHS:
Girls:
The Norwich Purple Tornado girls 4x800 team took ninth place before Ava Cirigliano and McKenzie Hagenbuch earned top 10 finishes individually. Cirigliano came in 10th in the 300 meter dash with a time of 46.03 seconds as Tristian Monroe finished 42nd with a new best 51.73 and Bri Cirigliano finished 51st with her new best time of 52.44.
Hagenbuch earned a 10th place finish in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:32.17 with Annie Boland in 26th (3:50.72) and Malea Sutton in 47th (4:18.46).
Kyra Brunick-Davis and Laci Zieno both ran the 600 meters with Brunick-Davis in 29th with a new best time of 1:59.41 and Zieno in 56th (2:43.48).
Reagan Decker competed in both the long and triple jumps, where she came away with two 14th place finishes. She was the lone Norwich female jumper in the triple jump, where she jumped 29 feet, 11 and a quarter inches. Decker and Monroe both participated in the long jump, where Decker jumped a new best of 14-8.50 and Monroe finished 45th with a jump of 11-5.
Lara Tefft had two fourth place finishes in both throwing events. She threw 37-0.25 in the weight throw with teammate Olivia Palmer in 13th (26-2). Tefft threw for a new best 31 feet, 10 inches in the shot put with Natalie Phillips in 28th with her best 22-3.25.
Boys:
The Norwich boys took fourth in the 4x400 relay while Gabe Decker continues to excel in the 300 meter dash, which he won with a time of 36.57 seconds.
Caden Sutton took fifth in the 1000 meter run with a new best time of 2:41.68 as Patrick Mulwane finished 50th (3:29.05). Nic Sutton came away with a 13th place finish in the 1600 meter run with his new best 4:55.74 as Orren Doolittle finished 52nd in the 600 meters (1:54.58).
Connor Marshall competed in both the high and long jumps with his best finish in the high jump with a jump of five feet, nine inches for ninth place. He finished 33rd in the long jump with a jump of 16-5.25.
Kaden Downey earned a fifth place finish in the weight throw with a throw of 52-0.50 as Liam White finished 22nd (32-10.75).
O-G:
Girls:
Amani Amin, Ellie Beadle, and Shanna Krupp led the Oxford-Greene girls team with Krupp earning the two best finishes for the team. Krupp finished 20th in the weight throw with a throw of 20 feet, eight and a quarter inches and came in 21st in the shot put with a throw of 24-7.50.
Amin competed in both the finals for the triple jump and in the 300 meter dash. Amin finished 28th in the triple jump with a jump of 21 feet, 11 and 3/4 inches. She came in 62nd in the 300 meter dash with a time of 55.77 seconds, short of a new best time.
Beadle jumped eight feet, eight inches in the long jump for 52nd place and achieved a new best time of 2:38.11 in the 600 meter run, where she finished 54th.
Boys:
Before competing individually, the Oxford-Greene boys competed in both the 4x800, where they finished 12th and 17th in the 4x200.
Haven Bourne led the boys to a 14th place finish in the 3200 meter run with a new best time of 11:20.81 and finished 36th in the 1600 meter run with a new best 5:25.80.
Isaac Utter led the team in the throwing events, where he finished 16th in the weight throw with a throw of 38 feet, four and a half inches and finished 18th in the shot put (36-3.50). Utter also finished 34th in the triple jump with a jump of 30 feet, eight and a quarter inches.
Liam Griffin earned a 35th place finish in the weight throw with throw of 22 feet, 11 inches.
Griffin also ran the 600 meters with Eddie Golden. Golden finished 37th with a time of 1:41.20 with Griffin behind in 38th with a new best time of 1:42.26. Griffin jumped to a 45th place finish in the long jump event with a jump of 13-6.50 with Liam Philippone in 48th (13-2.50).
Sherman Ludolph and Bartalo Bourn competed in the 300 meter dash, where Ludolph sprinted to a 40th place finish and Bourn to a 46th place finish in a new best 45.59 seconds.
UV:
Girls:
The UV 4x800 relay team finished fourth behind Corning, Rush Henrietta Sperry, and Lansing, with a time of 11:29.95.
Molly Gorrell and Natalya Schrag both picked up top 10 finishes in their respective events. Gorrell earned sixth in the 600 meter run with a new best time of 1:44.71 as Madison Dix came in 38th (2:10.44).
Schrag finished seventh in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:27.17 with Addison Marinelli in 20th, where she achieved a new best time of 3:46.11.
Noelle Fernandez-Naughton led the Storm girls in the throwing events, where she finished 22nd in the weight throw with a new best throw of 20 feet, one inch. Alivia Plows finished 57th in the shot put with a throw of 17 feet, four inches as Gabby Barnes came in 61st (15-10.25).
Boys:
The Storm boys 4x200 relay team finished 18th while Jake Favinger led the team individually with a 29th place finish in the 1600 meter run. Favinger ran the event in 5:18.76.
Aidan James ran the 1000 meters, where he finished 40th with a new best time of 3:15.85. Dominic Berthel set a new personal best in the 600 meter run, where he finished 49th with a time of 1:51.17.
Killian Wood competed in both the 300 meter dash and in the long jump. His best finish of the day was in the 300 meter dash, where he achieved a new best time of 46.68 seconds for 51st. He finished 53rd in the long jump with a jump of 11 feet, four and 3/4 inches.
