Norwich boys swim competes against Chenango Valley

CHENANGO VALLEY – On Tuesday, the Norwich Purple Tornado boys swim team traveled to Chenango Valley for a dual meet. This meet comes after Norwich finished 14th out of 16 teams in the Maine-Endwell Blizzard Invitational over the weekend.
Senior Kris Deuel came in second in the 200 freestyle event with a time of 2:03.04. Deuel achieved a new personal best in the 100 butterfly event, also taking second, with a time of 1:04.15.
Amon Oliver finished second in the 200 individual medley and came in third in the 100 breaststroke. Timothy Guzewich and Alex Moutarde both swam in the 50 freestyle, where Guzewich took second and Moutarde in third.
Sharon Thinagaran finished second in the 100 freestyle as Moutarde came in second in the 500 freestyle with a new best time of 6:13.45. Thinagaran also competed in the 100 breaststroke, where he finished fourth.
Norwich heads to Windsor on Tuesday, February 4 at 5:30 p.m.
