OV boys come up short vs McGraw
MCGRAW – On Friday, the Otselic Valley boys basketball team traveled to McGraw for a Central Counties divisional game. OV fell 53-44 to the Eagles. With the loss, the teams split the two-game series.
After a slow start, the Eagles powered through with 22 points in the second quarter to hold an overall edge over OV. Both teams maintained a steady pace in the second half, but OV couldn't mount a significant run to close the gap.
Lukas Schieferstein and Caleb Loomis posted double-digit scoring to lead the Vikings. Schieferstein led the team with 17 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Loomis added 10 points with two threes and also had four assists.
Owen Davis finished with eight points and picked up two steals. Payne Wood hit two threes for six points as Logan Foster added a bucket and Ryley Palmer with a free-throw in the loss.
