BG boys come away with close win vs Deposit-Hanock
HANCOCK – On Tuesday, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats boys’ basketball team traveled to Hancock to take on Deposit-Hancock in a MAC league game to end the regular season. The Bobcats have been in some pretty tight games this season, especially on Tuesday night, but came away with the 65-62 victory.
B-G had a slow start and was outscored 18-6 in the first quarter. However, the Bobcats picked up the pace before the break to find themselves down 29-18.
Things turned around for B-G in a positive way as they amped up the offense to flip the table and outscored the Eagles 47-33 in the second half alone, even with the overall difference of three points.
B-G also went 7-for-8 at the free throw line with Michael Lipani making all but one attempt (5-for-6).
Cyrus Megale led the Bobcats with 23 points, posting an impressive seven three-pointers with four in the third quarter and two in the fourth to help B-G secure the victory.
