UV girls sneak by Deposit-Hancock

NEW BERLIN – On Tuesday, the Unadilla Valley girls’ basketball team hosted their final home game of the season against Deposit-Hancock. The Storm picked up their first MAC league win of the season with a 47-39 victory. This win creates a three-way tie for the eighth spot in the standings between the two teams and Harpursville, who UV takes on next.

It was a slow start for both teams until UV picked up the pace before halftime and continued to play steadily throughout the remainder of the contest, even with Deposit-Hancock on their tail in the second half. The Storm also went 8-for-13 at the free throw line for 62 percent, which helped them when they needed it.
