NORWICH - NBT Bank’s latest Wall of Art installation at NBT headquarters in downtown Norwich features artwork created by local artist Danielle Haney.

Haney, of Unadilla, specializes in colored and graphite pencil portraiture and imaginative work created to ignite interest and mystery. “In a world which can be both  wondrous and wearisome,  through my art, by some small part, I strive to help keep alive the gifts of creativity, compassion and curiosity,” said Haney.

Haney is primarily a self-taught artist and has successfully completed over 80 commissioned portraits of people and pets. She shared that her goal as an artist is to “entertain and enrich the eyes, mind and heart of the viewer.” Before making her debut at NBT headquarters, Haney’s artwork was on display at the Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries at the Chenango Arts Council.

“Danielle is a talented and versatile artist,” said Alecia O’Neill, Executive Director of the Chenango Arts Council. “Her recent show in our gallery had an amazing mix of whimsical and realistic illustrations.”

Haney’s artwork will be on display at NBT Bank until the end of March. Her artwork is also on display at The Artist’s Guild in Oneonta, NY.
