SYRACUSE – After winning the Section III, Division II team dual meet tournament and reaching the quarterfinals at the state dual meet championship, the Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves wrestling team now adds a sectional title and also celebrates two individual sectional champions. Congratulations to the Timberwolves and to senior Landon Andrade and seventh grader Drew Telesky on winning their respective weight-class titles. Andrade and Telesky automatically qualify for states, that runs from February 28 to March 1 at Albany’s MVP Arena.

Andrade became a two-time sectional champions as he won the 285 weight class, pinning two opponents before winning the finals match against third-seed sophomore Jack Brown from Homer in a 8-3 decision.

Andrade is currently 36-2 and 126-19 overall at the varsity level. Andrade finished fourth as a junior at states last season.
