BINGHAMTON – Chenango County was well-represented at the Section IV Division II Wrestling championships on Sunday at the Visions Memorial Arena in Binghamton. BGAH, Norwich, Oxford-Greene, and Unatego-Unadilla Valley-Franklin all had wrestlers competing after doing well at the sectional qualifiers last weekend. Congratulations to Norwich’s Maverick Beckwith, UV UF’s Wyatt Meade and Yanni Drapaniotis on winning individual sectional titles. Beckwith is now a three-time sectionals champion and also won Most Outstanding Wrestler.

Other notable finishers include BGAH’s Colton Ryan and Silas Greenman earning sixth place finishes, Oxford-Greene’s Aiden Marcin in third place and Kade Mustin in fifth place. UV UF’s Abdul-Jamil Zaggout finished second place in the 131 weight class with Gavin Nordberg in fourth place. Abdeen Zaggout came in second in the 152 weight class as Ahmet Zaggout took sixth in the 138 weight class.

Nolan Boyles finished fourth for the Spartans in the 215 weight class.
